2004-05 Model –
This bike was the successor of CBR 954 RR. The Seventh generation 1000 RR comes with a 998cc liquid cooled inline 4-cylinder engine. The model has race-inspired 6-speed gearbox.
2006-07 Model –
The eighth generation of the bike was introduced in 2006. There were many increments done in power, performance, better handling, etc. The bike has new exhaust system, new chassis geometry, revised front and rear suspension with lighter swing-arm.
2008 Redesigned –
The All new ninth generation RR was came into the picture in 2007 at paris international motorcycle show. The new generation Honda CBR 1000 RR bike now has 999 cc liquid cooled inline 4 cylinder engine with 13000 rpm. The bike has completely redesigned from the previous models. The power, performance, handling were better from the previous models. The 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 models were likely same to the ninth generation bike in design and performance. The change were only minor like improvement in performance, handling etc.
2017 Redesigned –
Now, Honda has updated its 1000 RR with new features like throttle by wire, engine was retuned, weight of the bike was reduced by 14 kg. The fuel tank was now made up of titanium. The 2019 model was as same as the 2017 one. Minor updates like some electronic updates were seen in the 2019 model.
2020 Redesigned –
The latest upcoming model is 2020 model of the Honda CBR 1000 RR. The bike has given a new name which Is CBR1000RR-R. The bike has redesigned bodywork, performance, etc.
